A downloadable game
A simple, short, and hopefully challenging platformer where Tenma Maemi must chase down her Kanpainiki, who have crafted an escape pod to flee from Tenma's basement. Navigate the levels and catch them before they get away!

Install instructions
You can install the Basement Breakout Installer from here. Downloading it will allow you to download the actual game. I recommend checking the box that will put a shortcut to the game on your desktop, as it is not on by default!
Also since it is an .exe, your PC will probably be skeptical of the file, but I promise I am not a hackerman.

The game isn't that short for sure, I kept going on because I hadn't even realised that progress was saved, just left the tower (without doing the thing with the button and the door) and reached the hazel trees before going to bed.
The game is fun, I downloaded it based on the "hopefully challenging" mention and wasn't disappointed, I can't say I won't hit a wall with my poor skill but it would be perfectly fine and the sequences so far have been satisfying to beat.
Glad to hear it. I think I did a terrible job at balancing this game since I am a new developer, but I am genuinely happy that you found some enjoyment despite how rough it is!
simple but challenging. I enjoyed it. if I can make one suggestion I would say the game is a little too easy and could use more obstacles or something
tbh I think you're right, I shall start working on Basement Breakout: Master Quest, and it will have spinning spike blades in every level and 2x more spikes
